About the Artwork

Inspired by Claude Monet’s Nymphéas, the work translates the language of Impressionism into a sculptural textile form. Thousands of threads act as individual brushstrokes, creating a dense, atmospheric surface in which color, light, and movement are physically constructed rather than painted.

Cascading threads extend beyond the pictorial field, allowing the composition to move into the surrounding space and exist somewhere between painting, textile, and sculpture.
